Heya! first time writting so excuse my clumsiness on that manner… Before asking WHY I renamed my apps, let me tell you where “CuteCalc” (and by same logic, CuteMusic) came from. Well it’s not that interesting, I was 15, I finished the first version of the app, it was 11pm, and I needed a name, so naturally I looked at my cat, was like “ooo you cutie” and boom voila I had a name for my app ! So now to the main subject! You probably noticed I renamed my apps after some food, but wait! don’t think I’m just some fatass who eats all day (I mean, I do, but that’s not why I picked those names >:(. ) These are actually names from the anime Nekopara!!! Yes, I liked it so much I renamed my apps after all the nekos, how creative I took this decision, because adding “Cute” infront of a generic word to describe the app’s functionalities just felt, devoted of personality, emotions ? And single word names are easier to remember and more iconic! Look at apps like Gramophone, Namida, Lotus (and I could go on and on) I’m sure you find their name way more appealing and rememberable than “CuteMusic”. Plus, I was 15 back then, I’m 17 almost 18 (holy I’m scared of responsabilities 🥲) ALOT happened in my life, some things that changed me forever, I’m still a pink/cute aesthetic guy, which is why I’m staying in the cute theme choosing Nekopara (no really, the anime and characters are so adorable) but the same way it’s time for me as a person to change and become the person I’ve always yearned to be, it’s time for my projects to grow up too! I hope this change will be well accepted, and will allow for me to have a better idea of the identity I want to create!! Thank you to everyone who supported me since the start, those who’ve seen me & my projects change, those who’ve always accepted changes and thank you to everyone who ever tried my apps, shared them, or just checked out what I do, I wouldn’t be doing all that without you ❤️ But as always, stay cute!!!
