I spent half of last year trying to design a PL that instead of being built by computer scientists was designed by artists. We created programming blocks that could be arranged in sculptural still lives in VR or AR. The primary advantage we found was you didn't have to hold the abstract function of the system in mind. It became tangible, realized around you. For example the composite design pattern becomes a sculptural tree, visualizing/spatializing the abstraction. I wonder how it would measure on difficulty of learning to teach and learn, and on error proneness.
